About Us
At House Worker Center we are an organization dedicated to empower immigrant workers, providing them with information, tools and accompaniment so that they can know and fully exercise their labor rights. Through the DALE program, we help protect the security and continuity of work permits, and offer low-cost immigration services, always thinking about the welfare of our community. In addition, we understand that our families face many other challenges. That is why we also provide community support in different areas, creating spaces for solidarity, guidance and growth so that no one feels alone in their journey. Our mission is clear: to strengthen our immigrant community to live and work with dignity, respect and trust.

Our Mission
Is to empower immigrant workers by providing education about their labor rights and accessible immigration services, thus creating a stronger, safer and more united community. Through “Know Your Rights” workshops, we open paths to dignity, respect and strength. We want every immigrant worker to recognize their value and claim the justice they deserve.
Our Vision
Is to be a space of trust and solidarity where each immigrant worker feels supported, informed and capable of building a dignified and secure future together with his or her family and community.
How We Started
House Worker Center was born out of the pain, desperation and frustration of those who, day after day, endured humiliation and the constant denial of their rights as immigrants. We were invisible, forgotten, without a refuge where we could find support or justice.
Gigi’s Story

I am Gigi, and I experienced this brutal reality firsthand.
We were forbidden even to greet each other, creating a cold and hostile environment. They changed shifts without consideration, affecting our family life from one day to the next. We were transferred to untrained positions, leaving us vulnerable and anxious. The stress and uncertainty pushed me to the limit: a deep depression and a heart attack almost took my life. It was the darkest time, where I felt like I was sailing in a sea of shadows with no lighthouse or harbor. We are not alone. We discovered that many other families were suffering the same abuse, trapped in a system that exploited their vulnerability. It was a deep social problem, invisible to many, but one that we decided to confront.
Hope: the DALE program
We found a light: the DALE program, which offered temporary protection for those struggling for a decent future.
From there, we rose up with strength and hope, determined to change our reality.
In the strongest storm, we learned to be the lighthouse that guides those still navigating in the dark.
